I don’t remember much of December and January. I was pretty damn lost. And worst is I have no real clue why or how it happened. I suddenly just shut everything down, in a way. It could be that I have a circadian sleep disorder (delayed sleep phase or non-24-sleep-wake), leading to the very odd sleeping habits I have and, in turn, sleep deprivation stress. I am very sensitive to sleep deprivation, actually… but I never manage to keep a stable sleep pattern. I will try to maintain regular sleep the upcoming week. It would be very awesome if I do have a disorder, because then my napping during class is not entirely my fault.

I need to study all the chemistry, physics and maths I missed these months. Bah…

I have forgotten a lot of Japanese. Really sucks.

A lot of things suck right now, when I think about it. I need to gather all the pieces and rebuild…

Need to return to my Japanese studies I think…

He is playing a BM Hunter and I play a Protection Warrior. It’s my first proper tank – I’ve tanked before as Warrior, but only Ragefire Chasm (once) and Wailing Caverns (once). We got quite instantly kicked into Shadowfang Keep, where I haven’t been for years. I told the group that it was my first time tanking, but it went well, no wipes (some DPS deaths but it was really their fault). Got some tips from the healer, it was cool.

Then we got The Deadmines, where I had never been… so we wiped at that Goblin mechanical thing, because I was totally unaware that there was a boss in that room. I’m really proud of my tanking in the following forge room – the DPS didn’t kill off the fleeing mobs, so we constantly got more and more of them, but no one died.

Now, sleep…

I have driven a tram car, and once, there was this group of girls on the tracks. I was driving so slowly, they were far away and I was anyhow going to switch track before I reached them, so there was never anything to worry about, which I quite instantly realised. Nevertheless, the feeling was really sharp – ”you’re not supposed to be there!” I can’t imagine it being any close to what you would actually feel if there was an accident. But I can definitely say that it was… eye-opening, in a way.

It happened yesterday. At the next-to-final station there was this teenager and his friend who got on. As we started rolling towards the final station, they got some quite concerned words from the conductor: ”You just don’t crawl under the barrier. Last time there was an accident was this morning. This morning. A teenage kid.” The kids didn’t seem to care that much… I think they asked whether the kid survived, but the conductor didn’t know.

This morning, on the bus, some younger girls were discussing the accident. They apparently had friends who knew the family. It’s kinda weird… it throws you back into some sort of real reality where people die.

Tomorrow everything will be as it always is…

A lot has changed since I played last. My main has always been my Priest who is probably older than 4 years by now. I landed her in the Vengeance landing and killed some mobs. Ran out of mana instantly because Vampiric Touch has been vastly changed and no longer gives a percentage of damage dealt by Priest as mana to the party, but gives the Replenishment buff (1% mana every something seconds for something seconds) when struck by Mind Blast. Pretty harsh.

Really, I was so let down I couldn’t figure out how I’d ever be able to rush through mobs like I did grinding Netherweave and Scryer marks in Netherstorm. Now I’ve seen Priests using Dispersion and a very different rotation (something like Vampiric Embrace, Mind Blast and just mindflaying it down), so I should give her a try… maybe. I’d love to bring her to groups again, but I’m so Priest-rusty so I don’t know if I dare. I miss healing, too – I’ve probably not joined a group as healer for 3 years. Healing is awesome, but way back when Talent Specializations didn’t exist, it was just too much of a hassle for me to constantly respec. Grinding as holy, do not want. (Also, I was a horrible player back then, but don’t tell anyone.)

The new Dungeon Finder is quite cool. Nowadays I can say ”I’ll play an hour to complete my random daily dungeon” and actually finish it under an hour. And I got to see Scholo, Strat and Dire Maul a few times, even though we only finished Strat, DM East and DM North. I am bit disappointed with the selection of random dungeons, though. I have gotten the same instance countless times the same day (I am very tired of Auchenai Crypts). Also, getting a group for the 70 instances is barely possible because when you reach 69 the Random Burning Crusade Dungeon is replaced with Random Lich King Dungeon. I’d really like to run Shadow Labyrinth but I guess I’ll have to solo it.

I really should be studying physics… but…

På tal om det ska jag kopiera mitt arbetsgivarintyg den här veckan. Snart är det dags att skriva min första formella jobbansökan. Det blir ju… spännande. Jodå.

På senare tid har jag känt World of Warcraft-sug igen. Visst är det kul att spela, men det tar så mycket tid. Och pengar…
